Completing an Approval Task

You may have received an email asking you to approve something. Lots of things in ProvisionPoint can kick off an approval process - like somebody requesting a new site, or wanting to change something on an existing one.

Knowing you've got a task

You'll know you've been set an approval task one of two ways:

1) You receive an email informing you, or

2) You see a number next to the Tasks tab:

Completing your Approval Task

On the tasks page you'll see all the tasks that have been assigned to you, or to a group to which you belong. Click Manage next to the task to view the process and complete your task:

The page will slide across to show you a visual representation of the whole approval process. At the top of the screen you'll see details about the request. Beneath that you'll find that one of the steps offers you Approve / Reject buttons, and a comments section. This is where you can decide whether to approve or reject the request:

If you approve the step, the process will move to the next step - or complete if you're the final approver:

If you reject the step, the process will end as 'Rejected', and the requester will be notified:
