Usually the Features offered to us by SharePoint are enough, but sometimes we want to use our own features in our sites. The 'Features' page allows us to do this.
Adding your own Features
If you have your own Features already deployed to SharePoint, you can reference them and get ProvisionPoint to use them. To view and edit your own Features, navigate to the 'Features' page (under Resources):
Here you'll see all the standard Features we'd expect to be able to use. To view and edit your own, navigate to the 'Custom' view:
Now you can add a reference to your own feature. If they've been developed for you the developer should have this information:
When you've added your own Features, you can link them to your Service Definitions - see Activating / Deactivating Features.
