11. Activating / Deactivating Features

Unlike SharePoint Site Templates, ProvisionPoint can activate or deactivate features as part of the site creation workflow. ProvisionPoint references most of the standard SharePoint features, but it also allows you to reference your own features that are already deployed to SharePoint.

Setting Feature Activation Status

To activate or deactivate features with the site, navigate to the Features tab within the Service Definition you're editing:

 

Here it's simple to decide whether you want to 'interfere' with a feature. If you do, move the switch in the 'Set?' column over to 'Yes'. Then you can decide if you want that feature activated or deactivated:

 

"...hey, how about deploying my features / solutions for me?"

Yep - that would be cool, and it's on our to-do list.
